If you find that your course does not have departmental tutoring available and is not covered by Knack tutoring, we are here to help. We can reach out to your instructor or department to explore alternative tutoring options. Additionally, we may be able to recommend a paid private tutor. Please note that a private tutor would be an out-of-pocket expense, and the process of finding a suitable tutor could take up to three weeks. While we will do our best to assist, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to place you with a tutor. Our goal is to support your academic success.

Tutor Frequently Asked Questions

Undergraduate students who are currently enrolled at IU Indianapolis and have earned a B+ or higher in courses they want to tutor are eligible to tutor on Knack. Tutors are paid by Knack, not the university, at $15 per hour. Knack tutors set their own schedule, which provides flexibility making it an excellent source to make some money and help fellow students in the process. Before meeting with students, tutors are required to complete a basic tutor training, which is paid.
